Start Smart Sports Programs

Start Smart Sports Development Programs are designed to help children and parents develop the skills necessary to have a positive start with organized sports. Parents will work one on one with their children during six 1-hour classes. No equipment necessary.

We offer the following classes at different times throughout the year:

Basketball (3-5 yrs)
Baseball (3-5 yrs)
Soccer (3-5 yrs)
Golf (5-7 yrs)

Youth Fishing Club

Each week participants learn a new aspect of fishing, such as casting, safety, knots, equipment, etc.. Children are mentored by local anglers.

Ages: 1st-6th grade

Mission "SLIM" Possible
Weight Loss Challenge

"Slim" is possible in 2011. Join us for a 12 week mission to lose weight and feel great! Cash prizes! Contestants will weigh-in weekly and compete for cash prizes. We will also have several motivational classes to keep you going during the 12 weeks. This is not an exercise or diet program, it's strictly a wieght loss competition only. *Please pre-register at Riverton Parks and Recreation.

Let's go walking! Join us for our annual Spring or Fall walking program for all skill levels. Walks will be located at a different park each week. A great way to stay motivated and get your family out of the house. T-shirts for all participants.

Little League Tennis Lessons

Make new friends have fun and learn to play tennis. Sessions available throughout June, July & August. Lessons will be held at Riverton High School or Peggy Green Park. Racquets and balls will be provided, but your welcome to bring your own.
